Is my data private?
Foodies is a social network, so what you publish is stored on our servers in France and shown to other people. Your direct messages are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read them. We run no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. See our Privacy Policy.
Do I need an account?
Yes — Foodies needs an account so other people can find and follow you. Use Sign in with Apple, or continue as a guest with just a display name. Either way an account is created on our servers; we never receive your email address.
What is Foodies Pro?
An optional upgrade that unlocks the analytics suite — views, follower growth, top dishes and reach — plus the verified badge, priority in discovery and the full list of who viewed your profile. It comes as a monthly or yearly subscription (with a 7-day free trial), or a one-time lifetime purchase. Posting, following and messaging are free forever.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your device open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Foodies, and manage or cancel there. You can also tap Restore Purchases on the Foodies Pro screen to recover a purchase on a new device.
How do I report or block someone?
Tap the ••• menu on any post or profile to report it or block its author. Manage blocked accounts under Profile → menu (top right) → Blocked accounts. New posts and comments also pass an automated moderation filter before they are stored.
How do I delete my account?
Open Profile → menu (top right) → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, posts, photos, comments, messages and follows from our servers.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Open Profile → menu (top right) → Settings → Download my data. You get a JSON file of your profile, posts, comments, likes, saves, follows, blocks, collections and activity, which you can save or send anywhere. Messages are included as encrypted text that only your device can read. If you would rather we sent it to you, email hugomoriceau@icloud.com.
