FORMA ("we", "us", "the app") is built privacy-first. This policy explains what we do — and, importantly, what we don't do — with your data. In short: FORMA collects no personal data. FORMA is available for iPhone, iPad and Mac (App Store) and for Android (Google Play); the Android differences are described in FORMA for Android.
Your artwork stays on your device
All drawing, layer compositing, editing and storage happen locally on your device. Your canvases, layers, brushes and exported images are stored only on your device (your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android device). We do not upload, collect, view or store any of the artwork you create in FORMA. It never reaches us or any third party.
Data we do not collect
We do not require an account, email or sign-in.
We do not collect personal information.
We do not use analytics or tracking of any kind.
We do not show ads.
We do not collect, sell or share your drawings or any data.
No tracking
FORMA contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Purchases
FORMA Premium subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple handles these transactions and any related data under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions
Photos — only used when you choose to save an exported drawing to your photo library, or import an image. FORMA accesses only what you explicitly select.
FORMA requests permissions only at the moment you use a feature that needs one, and only for that purpose.
FORMA for Android
The Android app works the same way — FORMA has no account and no server, and its code makes no network requests of its own — with these Android-specific points:
Storage and backup. Drawings, layers and brushes are stored in FORMA's private app storage on your device. If Android backup is turned on, Android may include them in your device backup in your own Google account; that backup is managed by Google and we never receive it.
Purchases. FORMA Premium subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment under the Google Privacy Policy; we never see your payment details, and the app asks Google Play only whether you own Premium. Google Play's billing library may send Google its own diagnostic logs to operate the billing service. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
Photos. Importing uses the Android photo picker, which gives FORMA only the image you choose. Saving writes your export to Pictures/FORMA (videos to Movies/FORMA). No photo permission is requested on Android 10 and later; Android 8–9 asks for storage permission only to save an export.
Sharing and reviews. Exports you share go only to the app you choose in the Android share sheet. Rating prompts use the Google Play In-App Review API.
No ads, no tracking. The Android app contains no ads or analytics SDKs and does not use the advertising ID.
Children
FORMA is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
