Morpho has no accounts, no analytics SDK and no advertising. Your widget designs, your photos and your text stay on your device and in your own iCloud. This page lists every case where anything at all leaves your device, because a policy that only describes what stays is not a privacy policy.
No account, no email, no device identifier, no advertising ID, no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, no profile. We have no server that stores anything about you, and nothing below is written to a database of ours.
Widget designs, wallpapers and any photo you add are stored locally. Photos are processed entirely on your device — including colour-palette extraction — and are never uploaded. If you turn on iCloud sync, designs go to your private iCloud via Apple's CloudKit, under your Apple ID. We cannot read it.
These widgets need to know where you are. When you grant location access, Morpho rounds your coordinates to three decimal places (roughly 110 m) and sends only those rounded coordinates to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com, air-quality-api.open-meteo.com, marine-api.open-meteo.com) to fetch a forecast. No identifier accompanies the request, so the coordinates cannot be tied to you or to your device, and nothing is stored on our side. Deny or revoke location access and these widgets simply show nothing — no other feature is affected.
The Markets, Gold & Silver, Market Pulse, Currency and News widgets download a small public price and headline file from swiss-quant.ch (with api.coingecko.com and open.er-api.com as fallbacks). These are plain downloads: nothing about you, your device or your widgets is sent with them.
MorphoFun can build a character from a sentence you type. Simple descriptions are matched entirely on your device and never leave it. For sentences the on-device matcher cannot read, the text you typed — and nothing else — is sent to our server at swiss-quant.ch, which passes it to Google's Gemini API to turn it into a character description (a species, colours, an accessory). Your text is processed for that one request and is not logged or stored by us; Google's handling is governed by the Gemini API terms. No image is ever generated or downloaded — Morpho draws the character itself. Nothing else you type anywhere in the app is ever sent off your device. If you would rather it never left, keep descriptions simple, or don't use the field: every other way of building a character works offline.
When you pair with a partner, a family member or a friend, only what you choose to share — a mood, a list, a hug count, the character you designed — travels, through Apple's CloudKit, so both Home Screens stay in sync. It is stored under your Apple IDs, not ours.
Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only the anonymous entitlement status needed to unlock features.
Morpho is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
