Does FieldNote work offline?
Yes. Recording, transcription and report drafting all run on your iPhone. You can inspect a basement or a rural property with no signal and still get a full report.
Does it send my audio or my clients’ data anywhere?
No. FieldNote has no server and uploads nothing. Your audio, transcripts, photos and reports stay on your device. See our Privacy Policy.
Will it invent findings?
No. FieldNote only formats the words you actually dictate into a structured report. Every draft is reviewed and adopted by you, the qualified inspector. It is not an appraisal, survey, warranty, or certification of code or safety compliance.
Which systems and standards does it cover?
FieldNote organizes your dictation into the systems of your chosen standard — InterNACHI, RICS, AS 4349, NZS 4306 and more — covering roof, exterior, foundation & structure, heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, fireplace, attic/insulation/ventilation and interior, and flags any required system you didn’t mention. PDFs print on A4 or Letter to match your country.
How does the subscription work?
You can create your first reports free. FieldNote Pro unlocks unlimited reports — monthly, yearly (best value, about $10.83/mo billed annually), or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
