Neon Chess does not collect, transmit to us, store on any server of ours, sell or share any personal data. There is no Neon Chess account, no sign-up and no backend of ours. Your games, move history, Elo rating, settings and theme choices are stored only on your device.
Nothing. Neon Chess contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking SDKs and no third-party data collectors. We use no cookies or identifiers, and we never see your data because it never reaches us.
Your game history, saved games, statistics and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's on-device storage. They are included in your encrypted device backups (iCloud or Finder) only if you have those Apple backups enabled — that backup is governed by Apple, not by us. We have no access to it.
Optional online turn-based matches and the global rating leaderboard use Apple Game Center. If you choose to play online or sign in, your Game Center nickname and matchmaking are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your Apple ID or real name. Offline play never requires Game Center or any sign-in.
When you export a game as a PGN file and share it, the file goes directly from your device to the app or recipient you choose, through your own channel. We are not involved in and cannot see that transfer.
Premium subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive or see your name, card or payment details. Apple provides us only anonymous, aggregate sales information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs the transaction.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, delete or sell, and we do not sell or "share" personal information. You retain full control of your data directly on your device: you can delete any saved game, or remove all data by deleting the App. If you live in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California or a similar jurisdiction, your statutory rights are fully respected by this no-collection design.
We retain no data. Your content remains on your device for as long as you keep it and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the App.
Neon Chess is rated 4+ and is not directed at children, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone.
Because all our processing happens on your device, there is no international transfer of personal data by us.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be reflected in an App update.
