Scanlio ("we", "us") is built privacy-first. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't — with your data.
All scanning, text recognition (OCR), editing, conversion and storage happen locally on your device. We do not upload, collect, view or store the documents, images or text you create in Scanlio. They never reach our servers.
The free version shows ads via Google AdMob. Scanlio does not track you across other apps or websites: it does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt, so AdMob serves non-personalized ads only. To deliver those ads, AdMob may process a non-identifying device signal, approximate (coarse) location and usage/diagnostic data, in accordance with Google's policies — this data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you. The macOS version contains no ads. Scanlio Pro removes all ads.

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple processes transactions per its own privacy policy.
Because Scanlio does not collect, store or share your documents or personal data on our servers, we hold no personal data about you to access, correct, export or delete. Your files live only on your device and in your own iCloud/backups, which you control. For data processed by Google (ads) or Apple (purchases), please exercise your rights directly with those providers under their policies. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use your data for cross-app tracking.
We do not retain your documents or personal data — there is nothing stored on our side. Documents remain on your device until you delete them.
Scanlio is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here.
