Does ReceiptFox work offline?
Yes. Scanning, reading the receipt (OCR), categorizing and storing all happen on your device. You can capture receipts on a plane; everything stays available without a connection.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. ReceiptFox has no account and no cloud backend. Your receipts and expense data live only on your device. See our Privacy Policy.
What can I scan?
Paper receipts and invoices with the camera (batch up to 15 at once), or import photos and PDFs from your library. ReceiptFox auto-crops and reads the merchant, date, subtotal, tax and total.
Which tax systems are supported?
Expense categories map to US Schedule C, UK HMRC, France (Plan Comptable Général), Germany (DATEV/SKR) and a generic mode for other countries, plus Canada and Australia defaults.
What can I export?
A polished PDF report (with receipt images), plus CSV files formatted for QuickBooks, Xero, DATEV and Zoho Books.
How does mileage tracking work?
Track a drive live with GPS, or enter distance/odometer manually. ReceiptFox applies your jurisdiction's rate (e.g. IRS or HMRC) and includes mileage in your reports.
What's free vs. Pro?
The free tier includes 5 receipts per month with ads. ReceiptFox Pro ($4.99/week or $29.99/year with a 3-day free trial) unlocks unlimited scans, removes ads, and enables all exports, mileage and multi-currency.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone: Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions ▸ ReceiptFox. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the period.
How do I restore a purchase?
In ReceiptFox, open Settings ▸ Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple ID you used to subscribe.
Can I delete all my data?
Yes. Settings ▸ Delete all data wipes every receipt, trip, report and image from your device. Because there's no cloud copy, deletion is permanent.
